Small Groups

.

At the Evergreen Church we are committed to a process of growing, maturing, knowing and loving God, sharing His love with those around us, and becoming all that God has created us to be. Growing in our relationship with Christ and meaningful relationships with others is critical if we are to experience life transformation and positively impact the world around us . That is why we meet regularly in small LifeGroups that assist and challenge us in this process . We are not just a church that offers small groups; we are a church comprised of small groups.

A LifeGroup is a group of people meeting together weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly for a 12-week quarter in the winter and spring to pursue a common interest and to develop authentic, supportive friendships. In the winter we do not offer as much of a variety of different groups, because that is the time our church is involved in a total unified church focus. Several groups are ongoing and meet year round.

Each Life Group has a unique focus. New LifeGroups with different focus will be offered during the winter and spring quarters. Some concentrate on developing spiritually or intellectually through Bible Studies, book discussions, or prayer . Others are centered around outreach, service, or social activities. Specific groups offer emotional growth and the chance to give and receive support when we're struggling or hurting. Some groups teach practical skills for developing joyous, healthy marriages and families, while others support victorious addiction-free living. Find a group that suits your interests and needs. You'll be glad you did.

At The Evergreen Church there are two classifications of Small Groups. Please click the links below to read more about each type.

  • Small Groups (and schedule) These groups for people of different interests and life stages meet together for a 12 week quarter for prayer, Bible study, service, or to pursue a common interest.
  • Gateway Groups These are small intimate groups of 3-5 men or women or couples who meet together regularly for a year or more for care and accountability.
