A guided instructional
prayer for receiving Jesus Christ
If it is your desire to know Jesus Christ as your personal Lord
and Savior, simply say the following prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father,
I am coming to you now because I have been led to believe
that you are real and that you are really for me. Please help me approach you like I mean it.
Thank you for sending your son, Jesus, to earth to show me
the way. Thank you that he died for me
on the cross to secure my forgiveness.
Thank you that this forgiveness is based solely on your mercy and not on
anything I can do.
I am sorry for the way I have lived without you. Forgive me
and cleanse me of anything I have ever done that is unworthy in your sight.
Please remove all of my guilt and shame.
Jesus, because you rose from the dead, I believe that you
can never die again. I believe that by
your Spirit you are present with me now.
I invite you to come into my life.
I am turning my life over to you. From now on you will be my Lord. Please send your Holy Spirit to fill me to
overflowing and lead me in a life that is pleasing to you.
Thank you for hearing me and thank you that you have given
me another chance to life my life on earth for you - and spend all of eternity
with you in heaven. AMEN!
