Women’s Ministry Director: Pastor Kathy Norquist
Women’s Ministries provide opportunities for women to give and receive ministry from the Lord and from each other. We have various activities, small groups, special events, and classes to meet the needs of women of all different ages and interests. We have groups for study, prayer, fun, fellowship, serving others, learning home life skills, crafts, and sharing the message of God's love in fun ways with relatives, coworkers, and friends. Whether you are brand new to the church or have been attending for a while, you will find a warm welcome, a chance to make new friends, and an opportunity to grow as a person and as a Christian at these women's meetings.
Fellowship and Study Classes: The groups listed here are ongoing. Call the church or check the bulletin or current LIfeGroup Brochure for current quarterly studies.
Saturday Morning Breakfast Fellowship: We get together to encourage one another in our walks with the Lord and to build meaningful and supportive relationships. Leaders: Willa Roddy and Karen Trent Dates: Third or Fourth Saturday Time: 9:00 a.m. Place: local restaruants (Call the church for information.)
Tuesday Prayer Fellowship:
We meet to pray about personal, family, church, community, and world prayer needs.

Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS):
This program for mothers with children birth to five years includes support, teaching, and crafts. Classes are at Highline Christian Church in Burien on Fridays, Boulevard Park Presbyterian Church in Burien on Tuesdays, and at Grace Lutheran Church in Des Moines, on Wednesdays.

Annual Women's Christmas Fellowship Tea :
Enjoy delicious Christmas treats, inspiring music, and a Christmas devotional at beautifully decorated tables. Bring your friends and relatives. Date : TBD

Women’s Conference :
This special weekend planned every other year for our own women is often the highlight of our women's ministry. On alternate years our women participate in Seattle area women's conferences.
Annual Spring Brunch and Fashion Show : This delightful time out is for women and girls over the age of eight. Enjoy a spring fashion show, a delicious brunch, and great conversations. The trio “Friends” will present the message of Christ's love through music and testimonies in a way that everyone will understand and relate to. Bring your friends. Date : Saturday, May 1, 2010 Time : 10 a.m.—noon.

Women's Night or Morning Out :
Various events are scheduled to meet the interests and needs of women, including crafts, home arts, fellowship, sports, swimming, games, personal ministry, personal pampering nights, worship and teaching. Watch the bulletin for details. If you would like to organize or host one of these nights, contact Kathy Norquist .

If you wish to be notified of prayer requests or request prayer by the prayer chain email Kathy. Because of privacy concerns we will only print prayer requests from the person needing prayer, not third party prayer requests.
Care Ministries:
This is a group of women who love to care for others. This ministry is for you if you would like to help to provide meals, household services, or run errands for people who have just returned from the hospital, people who are bedridden, or new mothers. Call Lisa if you are interested in helping occasionally with this important ministry.

Ministry of Helps
This ministry is for women who want to enjoy great fellowship with other women while working together to stuff bulletins, prepare mailings, organize children's ministry materials, help with clerical tasks, decorate the church for special events, prepare visitor packets, or help clean the church facility.

Time: 1:45—3:30 p.m.

Weddings:
Church members who wish to be married at the church or by one of the church pastors, please contact the church office to set up an appointment to begin pre-marriage counseling and to place your wedding date on the calendar.
