Bruce and Kathy Norquist grew up in Washington State. They met, worked together in student ministries, and fell in love while they were attending college at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma. Prior to pioneering this church Bruce spent 20 years in full-time ministry as a pastor, missionary, college theology professor and dean. His education includes a BA in Business from U.P.S in Tacoma, WA, a M.Div from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, CA, and Ph.D. in Systematic Theology from Kings College in Aberdeen, Scotland. Bruce continues to teach occasional classes in local colleges and seminaries. Bruce enjoys downhill skiing and oil painting in his free time. Kathy worked as a teacher and social worker in both secular and Christian settings before being ordained as a pastor. She has degrees in Sociology and Education from U.P.S. in Tacoma, WA and California State University in Los Angeles. Kathy relaxes by walking on the beach, playing board games, and spending time with her family and friends.

From their various bases, Bruce and Kathy have traveled to over 20 countries as speakers in conferences, churches, and schools.

The Norquists have three children, and two grandsons, who bring them great joy. Their daughter, Sarah, and their son, Carl, both graduated from college, work in Seattle, and are both active in our church. Their oldest son, Matt, works for the Gallup Organizaiton, and currently lives in Saudi Arabia with his wife, Deb, and their two sons.
