Bruce and Kathy Norquist
Bruce and Kathy Norquist grew up in Washington State. They met while they were attending college and working in student ministries at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma. They have traveled to over 20 countries as speakers in churches, conferences, and colleges.
Bruce is the lead pastor of Evergreen Church. Prior to pioneering this church Bruce spent 20 years in full-time ministry as a pastor, missionary, college theology professor and dean. His education includes a BA in Business from UPS, a M.Div from Fuller Theological Seminary, and Ph.D. in Systematic Theology from Kings College in Aberdeen, Scotland. Bruce continues to teach occasional classes in local colleges and seminaries. Bruce enjoys downhill skiing and oil painting.
Kathy serves as the associate pastor, leading the adult small groups, women's ministries, events, and children's ministries. She worked as a teacher and social worker in both secular and Christian settings before being ordained as a pastor. She has degrees in Sociology and Education. Kathy enjoys swimming, walking on the beach, playing board games, and spending time with her family and friends.
The Norquists have three children, and three grandsons, who bring them great joy. Their daughter, Sarah, works in Bellevue. Their son, Matt, currently lives and works in New York with his wife, Deb, and their three sons. Their son, Carl, and his wife, Jenna, live and work in Philadelphia.
